David Moyes used Duncan Ferguson to great effect once again as Everton earned a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough at the Riverside. Ferguson had been on the pitch only 75 seconds before setting up Tim Cahill for the leveller with a perfect header back across the face of goal. Boro had led against the run of play when Boudewijn Zenden got on the end of a fine pass by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. [+]
